Dataset Specifications
MISMO
offers business domain specific views of the residential standards,
otherwise referred to as MISMO datasets. These views, or datasets, tend
to be focused on a particular business domain and be derivatives of the
larger MISMO model. Datasets often are presented with a data
dictionary, or list of terms and related descriptions, included in the
specified domain, as well as, a technical description for how to
represent the dataset. The technical description may take one or more
of many possible forms including a UML Class Diagram or an XML Schema or
other representation. Additional tools and resources may also be made
available with MISMO datasets to support implementation and ease of
use. For more information and to access the specifications for a
particular dataset select the name of a specific dataset from the list
of MISMO datasets below.
Adverse Action Notice
This new dataset addresses the fact that there are a variety of credit denial documents in use across the mortgage industry. This MISMO solution standardizes the content and formatting of such documents to enable more consistent and efficient communication between lenders and consumers during the credit vetting process.
Industry Loan Application (iLAD)
- Industry Loan Application Dataset (iLAD) 2.4.0
- Industry Loan Application Dataset (iLAD) 2.3.0
- Industry Loan Application Dataset (iLAD) 2.2.0
- Industry Loan Application Dataset (iLAD) 2.1.0
- Industry Loan Application Dataset (iLAD) 2.0.1
A compendium of data points that are included in the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA), the GSEs Automated Underwriting System interfaces, as well as the existing Fannie Mae 3.2 file. iLAD is expected to replace the many peer to peer data exchanges that currently utilize the Fannie Mae 3.2 file as a de facto data exchange standard.
IRS Form 4506-C
IRS Form 4506-C is used for requesting tax transcripts from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). MISMO's new dataset provides a standard set of data points that map to Form 4506-C. In addition to the dataset for IRS Form 4506-C, MISMO created a dataset for the previously used IRS Form 4506-T.
Mortgage Compliance Dataset
The MCD specification is a conversion of a fixed format Loan Examination File (LEF) to the XML schema based MISMO Reference Model. As a companion to the MCD specification, MISMO has published a schema file to assist with development efforts. This includes all the data points that are not in the MISMO Version 3.6.0 Reference Model, the schema has been extended to support the MCD.
Private Label RMBS
The Private Label Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (PL RMBS) MISMO XML File Layout Specification supports the data used in the ratings applied to securitizations. This document provides the information needed for changes to be made so Rating Agencies, understand the data they will receive, and Third-Party Reviewers (TPR) have a roadmap for providing consistent and relevant data.
