MISMO Seeks Comment on Updated Business Glossary

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 10, 2025) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, is seeking public comment on recent updates to the MISMO Business Glossary. The 30-day comment period runs through April 9, 2025.
“The MISMO Business Glossary is a business-friendly collection of terms and definitions representing content from MISMO and non-MISMO sources,” said Acting MISMO President Rick Hill. “Regular maintenance of the terms and definitions enables the Business Glossary to continue to serve as a valuable industry resource for training and research.”
Business Glossary includes information about common business processes, business events, business terms, calculations, documents, and forms. Recent updates enable alignment with several new processes in the MISMO Life of Loan Process Model as well as general maintenance.
The comment period allows at least a 30 days’ notice prior to final release to review and disclose any applicable Patent Rights (as defined by MISMO's 2018 Intellectual Property Rights Policy). Disclosures and comments should be directed to [email protected].
