    WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 19, 2025 ) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, today announced publication of an enhancement to the existing Commercial Appraisal Dataset. The update introduces JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) as an additional communication format alongside the current XML format which remains unchanged.

The 60-day public comment period runs through May 19, 2025.

The enhancement introduces JSON as an alternative communication format alongside the current XML format. Importantly, the introduction of JSON does not modify the existing Commercial Appraisal Data Standard.
