MISMO Publishes SMART Doc® 1.02 Implementation Guide and Mapping Updates

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 1, 2024) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, today announced publication of an updated version of the SMART Doc® Implementation Guide and Mapping Specification to help mortgage service providers enhance interoperability and maintain data integrity when performing eNote transactions.

The SMART Doc® V1.02 Implementation Guide and Mapping Specification contain updated guidance for the following:

• Consumer Home Equity 2^nd Lien eNotes Mapping

• eNote Language Requirements for Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac

• Standardization for representing the eNote Form Number in the XML data

The SMART Doc® V1.02 Implementation Guide is a reference resource that provides business context and technical guidance along with illustrative examples for a variety of SMART Doc® implementations.
