MISMO Issues Call for Participants to Join New Workgroup Focused on Data Mapping for VA Documents

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 7, 2023) — MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, is calling for industry professionals to join a new development workgroup focused on creating document dataset specifications to align with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Loan Guaranty Program forms. The effort, to enable a more efficient exchange of data, will be broken into three phases:
·        Phase I
·        Create dataset specification and implementation guidance for VA Report and Certification of Loan Disbursement (VA Form 26‐1820)
·        Phase II
·        Update the dataset specification and implementation guidance for VA Request for a Certificate of Eligibility (VA Form 26‐1880)
·        Create a dataset specification and implementation guidance for VA Request for Determination of Loan Guaranty Eligibility – Unmarried Surviving Spouses (VA Form 26‐1817)
·        Phase III
·        Create a dataset specification and implementation guidance for VA Request for Determination of Reasonable Value (VA Form 26‐1805)
The VA Documents to Data Development Work Group will conduct regular meetings via conference call.
