MISMO’s Emerging Technologies Workgroup to Focus on AI at Spring Summit

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 23, 2023) – MISMO®,  the real estate finance industry's standards organization, announced that its Emerging Technologies Community of Practice (CoP) will begin discussions focused on impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the mortgage finance industry. The discussions will take place at MISMO’s Spring Summit in Portland, Oregon June 5-8, 2023.

“The question is not if, but how AI will impact the mortgage finance industry,” said David Coleman, President of MISMO. “MISMO will convene a group of relevant experts and practitioners to evaluate and plan for use of this transformational technology by our industry.”

“The purpose of the Emerging Technology Community of Practice is to identify and monitor new technologies and plan for how our industry will navigate the potential impacts,” said Leah Price, Co-Chair of the Emerging Technologies CoP and Vice President at Figure. “We are starting the process now and expect to expand our work on AI in the coming months.”
