MISMO Seeks Member Comment on Updated API Toolkit

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 18, 2022) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, today announced release of its MISMO API (Application Programming Interface) Toolkit 1.1 for a 60-day member comment period. Comments will be accepted through December 19, 2022.

Several key updates were made to the toolkit so that it can continue to help facilitate rapid development of new products and applications across the mortgage industry. Version 1.1 of the MISMO API Toolkit includes:

• Additional detail to cover the hierarchy flattening rules
• Expansion of the Cardinality Rules section
• Guidance on using custom data types

The comment period provides workgroup participants who participated in the proposal a notice period prior to final release to review the information and disclose any applicable Patent Rights (as defined by MISMO’s 2018 Intellectual Property Rights Policy).   

MISMO requests that any organization that may have any patent or patent applications, or other intellectual property rights that might be infringed upon by an organization that uses or is compliant with these proposed MISMO products, to disclose them at this time in writing. All comments and disclosures are due by December 19, 2022, and should be directed to [email protected].
