XML
The XML Schema is a representation of the data and relationships that support industry business processes. Included within the XML Schema are the SMART Doc® standards which provide formats for electronic formatting of documents. SMART Doc® standards are incorporated into the schema which provide formats for electronic formatting of documents. The MISMO XML Schema releases include the Logical Data Dictionary; XML Schema; Change List and Release Notes.
Historical versions of the XML Schema also serve as historical versions of the Reference Model through version 3.5.
Version 3.6 of the XML Schema has been approved for Candidate Recommendation. Version 3.6 includes updates to support the GSEs' updated Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD®); Private Label RMBS rating agency asset valuation data exchange for faster, more efficient, and more accurate due diligence; exchange of closing instructions, improving communications and avoiding delays during closing between the lenders and closing agents; ability to electronically verify that data is consistent with information presented in a document; enhancements to the MISMO API Toolkit, leveraging MISMO’s initiative to develop standards for consumer transactions; and much, much more.
Logical Data Dictionary (LDD)
The Logical Data Dictionary (LDD) provides the business view of the information and relationships included in the MISMO Reference Model. It includes the standardized business names, definitions, enumerations, and much, much more all accessible in a business - friendly format.
