Young professionals who participate in MISMO workgroups are given a unique opportunity to grow as leaders when participating within MISMO. There are many opportunities to become educated on various topics in the industry, network with industry veterans and serve in a leadership capacity. Getting Involved with MISMO as a Newcomer
Join us a MISMO Summit*
- Summits are the best way to spend valuable face to face time with MISMO Veterans.
- We host a newcomer orientation session that gives you all the information you will need to take on the summit.
- A lunch and learn will take place on Wednesday at the Fall Summit where tabletop leads will share their experiences with MISMO and how they have grown professionally. This highly personal experience is a great way to interact with industry veterans and leaders within the mortgage technology space.
Participate in a MISMO Workgroup
- Anyone can participate in a MISMO workgroup whether they are a member or not.
- Review our list of workgroups to see what might interest you. If you have any questions, you can email the groups facilitator (found in the leadership section of the workgroup page) they will be happy to help.
- Log in to MISMO Connect (using your mba.org account) and join workgroup community sites. This is where meeting materials, minutes, agendas and offline discussions are all held.
Take Advantage of Educational Offerings
- Sign up for a MISMO Monthly webinar; all previous webinars are recorded and available to MISMO members in the resource library on MISMO Connect.
- Take the MISMO Boot Camp; the one stop shop for an introduction to MISMO core concepts, the Reference Model, creating specifications and using different tools to validate schema.*
- Get Certified as an Associate MISMO Standards Professional by completing the Boot Camp.*
